Anodizing

Anodizing

Aluminum anodizing is a surface treatment that can be used for items where there are requirements for:
  • Corrosion protection (moderate)
  • Abrasion resistance (moderate wear)
  • Electrical insulation ability
  • Items that must appear cosmetically neat
  • Aluminum oxide layer layer thickness 5-25µ
We perform anodizing according to MIL-PRF -8625 and DS / EN 12373-1.

If you have requirements for greater gloss or uniformity on the items, we can also offer Chemical polishing / electric polishing, as part of the pre-treatment.

Quality test:
  • Salt mist test (ASTM B 117)
  • Weight loss test (DS 3210)
  • Blue spot (DS12373-4)
  • Color comparison (AMS STD 595)
  • Gloss measurement
  • Apply measure
  • Layer thickness measurement
We enclose COC and test reports on request. Our anodizing process is 3rd party approved according to KVS-23, corresponding to MIL-PRF-8625, by KIWA TI Norway.
