Passivation stainless steel
Passivation of stainless steel is intended to remove / dissolve iron and other metals from the surface of the machined workpiece, ensuring a corrosion-resistant surface.
Passivation of stainless steel is performed according to AMS 2700 or later version.
The passivation is carried out in accordance with method 1, type 6 and 7, class 1 and 2, respectively.
Quality test:
- Salt mist test (ASTM B 117)
We enclose COCs and test reports on request.
Our passivation process is 3rd party approved according to KVS-53, corresponding to AMS 2700, by KIWA TI Norway.
