Code of Conduct - our global code of conduct

Introduction

Stjerne-Chrom has been certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 for many years.

We have joined the Global Compact in 2023 and would like to encourage all our business partners to do the same.


Stjerne-Chrom has systematically reviewed all world goals and, on the basis of our activities and value chain, has selected 4 where we think we can contribute the most to sustainable development.


Stjerne-Chrom works purposefully with recycling water in production and discharges our process wastewater far below the discharge requirements in our wastewater permit

Stjerne-Chrom has a climate ambition to produce as much energy on the cadastre as possible for its own consumption.

Stjerne-Chrom is working purposefully to phase out fossil fuel for heating by 2030.

Stjerne-Chrom works to ensure that in our production we are as energy efficient as possible in our consumption.

Stjerne-Chrom works for the introduction of robotic technology in areas of production.

Stjerne-Chrom works together with the employees for a good and safe working environment. Including the prevention of accidents in both the psychological and physical working environment.

Stjerne-Chrom sorts, handles and disposes of waste with the aim that the waste hierarchy is in focus, i.e. reuse, recycling, energy utilization are in focus in that order.

From 2023, Stjerne-Chrom will report on relevant EGS key figures mentioned in §99a of the Annual Accounts Act.

Purpose of the Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct sets out guidelines for how we must behave in relation to customers, suppliers, the authorities and other stakeholders.

The Code of Conduct applies to all employees of Stjerne-Chrom, and it is important that every employee understands and complies with it. To ensure that every employee knows the Code of Conduct, awareness campaigns are carried out on an ongoing basis.


Violation of the Code of Conduct

Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct can result in a bad reputation for employees and Stjerne-Chrom.

Violating the Code of Conduct may be associated with punishment in relation to the law or sanctions. For employees, disciplinary measures may be taken in the event of serious breaches of the code and may result in reprimand, fine or dismissal.


Human rights

Stjerne-Chrom complies with all relevant laws and regulations regarding human rights.

Stjerne-Chrom sees its employees as its greatest asset. Each employee is valuable, and together they form the basis of Stjerne-Chrom's success.

It is important that employees treat everyone with dignity and respect. Stjerne-Chrom does not accept discrimination due to ethnic background, gender, religion, age or sexual orientation. Discriminatory behavior or harassment of any kind is not tolerated.

We train our employees in human rights, respect their right to freedom of association and recognize the right to be a member of a trade union or other collective bargaining group.


Child labor

Stjerne-Chrom supports all efforts to eradicate child labour.

Stjerne-Chrom requires a minimum age of 18 for employees.


Anti-corruption, bribery and fraud

Stjerne-Chrom condemns corruption in all its forms and does not tolerate it in business or with its business partners. If employees are involved in bribery or corruption, they may be held personally criminally liable and subject to disciplinary action.


The following three principles apply:

  • Stjerne-Chrom and its employees do not accept or seek to obtain bribes in any form.
  • Stjerne-Chrom does not make and does not accept bribery or kickbacks of any kind.
  • Stjerne-Chrom's employees do not give or receive gifts of more than symbolic value, except for gifts , given or received in special situations.

Stjerne-Chrom does not tolerate any form of fraud, including theft, embezzlement, money laundering or misuse of the company's property.


Gifts and entertainment

In the normal course of business, gifts (including entertainment) are offered, given and received from time to time. All employees must exercise great care regarding gifts to and from customers, suppliers or others with whom they come into professional contact.


Handling of confidential information

Stjerne Chrom's GDPR policy must be complied with in all respects.


Relationship with suppliers

Stjerne-Chrom wants to help promote social and environmental improvements at our suppliers.

Stjerne-Chrom expects our suppliers to comply with national laws and internationally recognized standards and conventions for ethical, environmental and social matters.


Relationship with customers

The goal is to ensure that customers trust Stjerne-Chrom and experience value-creating relationships.

All communication through all channels to all target groups must be open, truthful and unambiguous.


Handling complaints

Stjerne-Chrom handles complaints from customers or former customers quickly and fairly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Stjerne-Chrom has developed procedures to support this process.
